How to create an Amazon affiliate link

The Amazon affiliate program is an excellent way to make money from your website. The affiliate program is free to join, and you can promote any product from Amazon. Each time a visitor from your website goes to Amazon and makes a qualifying purchase, you earn a commission.

So Amazon knows that you sent them customers, you use affiliate links on your website. Affiliate links contain unique codes.

In my post, I show you how to create an Amazon affiliate link and use them on your blog posts, step by step.

Let’s start.

Step One- Sign Up For The Amazon Affiliate Program

Before you can start earning from Amazon, you have to join their free affiliate program.

Amazon has affiliate programs available in the USA, United Kingdom, Germany, France, Canada, China, Italy, Spain, India, Brazil, Mexico, Australia, and the United Arab Emirates.

You can join as many affiliate programs as you want. The most popular program is the one in the USA.

Step Four – Create An Amazon Affiliate Link

Amazon affiliates use the Amazon Associates SiteStripe to generate links. The SiteStripe is at the top of the screen when on Amazon. You must sign in to your affiliate account, too.

Step Five -Add Amazon Affiliate Links To Your WordPress Blog Post

To create a clickable link in your blog post that sends visitors to Amazon, highlight text within your content. Once highlighted, right-click on your mouse and select ‘Paste’.

I recommend you select the option to ‘Open in a new tab’. Opening Amazon in a new browser tab ensures your visitor can return to your website.

After you paste your code, the text colour changes. A popup shows the link destination.

Now you have created and embedded an Amazon affiliate link. Each time your visitors click on this link, Amazon tracks purchases and pays a commission.
