The Amazon affiliate program is an excellent way to monetize your website. The program is free to join. You can start promoting Amazon products straight away.

Are you new to the Amazon affiliate program? How long do your links last?

In my post, I explain how long your affiliate links last and when they close.

Let’s start.

How Long Do Amazon Affiliate Links Last?

Once a visitor arrives at Amazon from one of your affiliate links, affiliates earn a commission on qualifying items purchased within 24 hours.

Amazon assigns a 24-hour cookie to the visitor you sent.

Once visitors complete their purchases, the cookie closes. Once the cookie is closed, you don’t earn a commission.

Should visitors click on your affiliate links again to visit Amazon, this starts a new 24-hour cookie.

If visitors exit Amazon without purchasing and return to Amazon using another affiliate’s link, you don’t get a commission.

Amazon’s 90-Day Cookie

Sometimes visitors add items to their shopping basket on Amazon but don’t pay.

When customers have items in their basket but don’t pay, Amazon assigns a 90-cookie.

As long as customers return to complete their purchase within 90-days, you earn a commission on qualifying items.
