How To Customize General Layouts On Ashe

In my post, I show you how to customize General Settings on the Ashe theme on WordPress step by step.

Customize General Layouts On Ashe

Select General Layouts from the customization menu

Sidebar Width

Use Sidebar Width to set the width of the sidebar.

The default is 270 pixels.

Enable the Sticky Sidebar option to have the sidebar follow visitors as they scroll.

Page layouts

Page Layouts allows you to set how blog posts display on archive pages, such as your homepage and category pages.

There are two options, 1 Column and List Style.

1 Column lists your posts with a large featured image and excerpt.

List Style displays posts with a small featured image and excerpt.

Boxed Controls

Header Width

Header Width sets the width of the header area.

There are three settings, full, contained, and boxed.

The Full and Contained options set the header to cover the page.

Boxed sets spaces on either side of the header area.

Featured Slider Width

Featured slider width

When you enable the featured image slider feature, you set the width with the Featured Slider Width option.

There are two options, Full or Boxed.

Full covers the page. Boxed puts the slider in line with your content.

Featured Links Width

When you enable the featured links feature, you set the width with the Featured Links Width option.

Full covers the page. Boxed puts the featured links in line with your content.

Content Width

Content Width sets the width of blog excerpts on your homepage. The options are Boxed or Full.

Boxed puts your blog list in line with the header and featured sections.

Single Content Width

Single content length is for your blog posts.

Do you want your blog post to cover the page or boxed?

Footer Width

The Footer is the section at the bottom of your website.

The Footer Width option sets the width of the footer area.

The three settings are FullContained, and Boxed.

Full covers the screen.

Full

Contained puts the footer in line with your other content. The background color is the same.

Contained

Boxed puts your footer in line with your other content, but the background is a different color.
